Vienna, 06.01.2011 – The Pentadoc founded Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Award for the category “ECM Solution of the Year” was awarded to Fabasoft’s Folio Cloud on May 17, 2011.

The ECM Day took place for the sixth time in Vienna. Pentadoc, the initiator of the event, views itself as a mediator between solution providers and user companies. The ECM Award this year was, for the second time, awarded in four different categories. This is to ensure a lasting increase in the awareness of the strategic importance of ECM projects at management level, in departments and in IT divisions. The focus of the submitted projects has to be on user needs. And this is exactly what the development of Folio Cloud has been most highly weighted on.

And the Winner is… Fabasoft Folio Cloud

In the category “ECM Solution of the Year” all providers were eligible to take part who could offer innovative solution packages or modules with a concrete additional benefit for users using the latest technologies. In Folio Cloud, Fabasoft has developed and configured a European Cloud for ECM and B2B collaboration. Folio Cloud offers a variety of different business applications in one single Cloud computing environment.

With just a few mouse clicks businesses can use Folio Cloud for internal work or for collaboration with external partners. Data exchange takes place in “Team Rooms”. Team Rooms offer a protected area where only invited, authorized users are granted access to the data.

About the ECM Award

The ECM Award in 2011 was awarded, for the second time in the six years that the ECM day has taken place, in four categories. Two user companies and one ECM solution provider are acknowledged, as well as the best ECM solution of the year. The jury comprises recognized independent experts from science and industry and selects the winners in the categories of economic efficiency, innovative implementation and ECM solution of the year. Only the ECM provider of the year is chosen by users via online voting.

About the ECM Day

The ECM Day is a specialist conference for users who, once a year, want to gain an extensive update of the ECM market. Under the motto “ECM Summit Meeting” the ECM Day aims to bring together provider companies, potential interested parties and decision makers from user companies. It therefore offers significant opportunity for discussion and networking. The program schedule focuses largely on practical examples of already existing projects.
